It was possible to directly leak the kernel address where the isdn_dev
structure pointer was stored. This is a kernel ASLR bypass for anyone
with access to the ioctl. The code had been present since the beginning
of git history, though this shouldn't ever be needed for normal operation,
therefore remove it.

In isdn_ppp_write(), the header (i.e., protobuf) of the buffer is
fetched twice from userspace. The first fetch is used to peek at the
protocol of the message and reset the huptimer if necessary; while the
second fetch copies in the whole buffer. However, given that buf resides
in userspace memory, a user process can race to change its memory content
across fetches. By doing so, we can either avoid resetting the huptimer
for any type of packets (by first setting proto to PPP_LCP and later
change to the actual type) or force resetting the huptimer for LCP
packets.
This patch changes this double-fetch behavior into two single fetches
decided by condition (lp->isdn_device < 0 || lp->isdn_channel <0).

Currently slhc_init() treats out-of-range values of rslots and tslots
as equivalent to 0, except that if tslots is too large it will
dereference a null pointer (CVE-2015-7799).
Add a range-check at the top of the function and make it return an
ERR_PTR() on error instead of NULL. Change the callers accordingly.
Compile-tested only.

tty_wait_until_sent_from_close() drops the tty lock while waiting
for the tty driver to finish sending previously accepted data (ie.,
data remaining in its write buffer and transmit fifo).
tty_wait_until_sent_from_close() was added by commit a57a7bf3fc
("TTY: define tty_wait_until_sent_from_close") to prevent the entire
tty subsystem from being unable to open new ttys while waiting for
one tty to close while output drained.
However, since commit 0911261d4c ("tty: Don't take tty_mutex for tty
count changes"), holding a tty lock while closing does not prevent other
ttys from being opened/closed/hung up, but only prevents lifetime event
changes for the tty under lock.
Holding the tty lock while waiting for output to drain does prevent
parallel non-blocking opens (O_NONBLOCK) from advancing or returning
while the tty lock is held. However, all parallel opens _already_
block even if the tty lock is dropped while closing and the parallel
open advances. Blocking in open has been in mainline since at least 2.6.29
(see tty_port_block_til_ready(); note the test for O_NONBLOCK is _after_
the wait while ASYNC_CLOSING).
IOW, before this patch a non-blocking open will sleep anyway for the
_entire_ duration of a parallel hardware shutdown, and when it wakes, the
error return will cause a release of its tty, and it will restart with
a fresh attempt to open. Similarly with a blocking open that is already
waiting; when it's woken, the hardware shutdown has already completed
to ASYNC_INITIALIZED is not set, which forces a release and restart as
well.
So, holding the tty lock across the _entire_ close (which is what this
patch does), even while waiting for output to drain, is equivalent to
the current outcome wrt parallel opens.

Commit 568f194e8b ("net: ppp: use
sk_unattached_filter api") inadvertently changed the logic when setting
PPP pass and active filters. This applies to both the generic PPP subsystem
implemented by drivers/net/ppp/ppp_generic.c and the ISDN PPP subsystem
implemented by drivers/isdn/i4l/isdn_ppp.c. The original code in ppp_ioctl()
(or isdn_ppp_ioctl(), resp.) handling PPPIOCSPASS and PPPIOCSACTIVE allowed to
remove a pass/active filter previously set by using a filter of length zero.
However, with the new code this is not possible anymore as this case is not
explicitly checked for, which leads to passing NULL as a filter to
sk_unattached_filter_create(). This results in returning EINVAL to the caller.
Additionally, the variables ppp->pass_filter and ppp->active_filter (or
is->pass_filter and is->active_filter, resp.) are not reset to NULL, although
the filters they point to may have been destroyed by
sk_unattached_filter_destroy(), so in this EINVAL case dangling pointers are
left behind (provided the pointers were previously non-NULL).
This patch corrects both problems by checking whether the filter passed is
empty or non-empty, and prevents sk_unattached_filter_create() from being
called in the first case. Moreover, the pointers are always reset to NULL
as soon as sk_unattached_filter_destroy() returns.

Commit 568f194e8b ("net: ppp: use
sk_unattached_filter api") causes sk_chk_filter() to be called twice when
setting a PPP pass or active filter. This applies to both the generic PPP
subsystem implemented by drivers/net/ppp/ppp_generic.c and the ISDN PPP
subsystem implemented by drivers/isdn/i4l/isdn_ppp.c. The first call is from
within get_filter(). The second one is through the call chain
ppp_ioctl() or isdn_ppp_ioctl()
--> sk_unattached_filter_create()
--> __sk_prepare_filter()
--> sk_chk_filter()
The first call from within get_filter() should be deleted as get_filter() is
called just before calling sk_unattached_filter_create() later on, which
eventually calls sk_chk_filter() anyway.
For 3.15.x, this proposed change is a bugfix rather than a pure optimization as
in that branch, sk_chk_filter() may replace filter codes by other codes which
are not recognized when executing sk_chk_filter() a second time. So with
3.15.x, if sk_chk_filter() is called twice, the second invocation may yield
EINVAL (this depends on the filter codes found in the filter to be set, but
because the replacement is done for frequently used codes, this is almost
always the case). The net effect is that setting pass and/or active PPP filters
does not work anymore, since sk_unattached_filter_create() always returns
EINVAL due to the second call to sk_chk_filter(), regardless whether the filter
was originally sane or not.

The sk_unattached_filter_create() API is used by BPF filters that
are not directly attached or related to sockets, and are used in
team, ptp, xt_bpf, cls_bpf, etc. As such all users do their own
internal managment of obtaining filter blocks and thus already
have them in kernel memory and set up before calling into
sk_unattached_filter_create(). As a result, due to __user annotation
in sock_fprog, sparse triggers false positives (incorrect type in
assignment [different address space]) when filters are set up before
passing them to sk_unattached_filter_create(). Therefore, let
sk_unattached_filter_create() API use sock_fprog_kern to overcome
this issue.

Similarly as in ppp, we need to migrate the ISDN/PPP code to make use
of the sk_unattached_filter api in order to decouple having direct
filter structure access. By using sk_unattached_filter_{create,destroy},
we can allow for the possibility to jit compile filters for faster
filter verdicts as well.

The isdn core code uses a couple of wait queues with
interruptible_sleep_on, which is racy and about to get
removed from the kernel. Fortunately, we know for each case
what we are waiting for, so they can all be converted to
the better wait_event_interruptible interface.

This corrects an regression introduced by "net: Use 16bits for *_headers
fields of struct skbuff" when NET_SKBUFF_DATA_USES_OFFSET is not set. In
that case skb->tail will be a pointer whereas skb->transport_header
will be an offset from head. This is corrected by using wrappers that
ensure that the comparison is always between pointers.

Add a new constant ETH_P_802_3_MIN, the minimum ethernet type for
an 802.3 frame. Frames with a lower value in the ethernet type field
are Ethernet II.
Also update all the users of this value that David Miller and
I could find to use the new constant.
Also correct a bug in util.c. The comparison with ETH_P_802_3_MIN
should be >= not >.

tty->hw_stopped is set only by drivers to remember HW state. If it is
never set to 1 in a particular driver, there is no need to check it in
the driver at all. Remove such checks.

sizeof (cmd.parm) is 80+, but less than 100.
strlen(msg) may be more than 80+ (Modem-Commandbuffer, less than 255).
isdn_tty_send_msg is called by isdn_tty_parse_at
the relative parameter is m->mdmcmd (atemu *m)
the relative command may be "+M..."
so need check the length to be sure not memory overflow.
cmd.parm is a union, and need keep original valid buffer length no touch

Fix up trivial conflicts, mostly just due to the TTY config option
clashing with the EXPERIMENTAL removal.
The original suggestion to delete wanrouter started earlier
with the mainline commit f0d1b3c2bc
("net/wanrouter: Deprecate and schedule for removal") in May 2012.
More importantly, Dan Carpenter found[1] that the driver had a
fundamental breakage introduced back in 2008, with commit
7be6065b39 ("netdevice wanrouter: Convert directly reference of
netdev->priv"). So we know with certainty that the code hasn't been
used by anyone willing to at least take the effort to send an e-mail
report of breakage for at least 4 years.
This commit does a decouple of the wanrouter subsystem, by going
after the Makefile/Kconfig and similar files, so that these mainline
files that we are keeping do not have the big wanrouter file/driver
deletion commit tied into their history.
Once this commit is in place, we then can remove the obsolete cyclomx
drivers and similar that have a dependency on CONFIG_WAN_ROUTER_DRIVERS.

Now, we start converting tty buffer functions to actually use
tty_port. This will allow us to get rid of the need of tty in many
call sites. Only tty_port will needed and hence no more
tty_port_tty_get in those paths.
Now, the one where most of tty_port_tty_get gets removed:
tty_flip_buffer_push.
IOW we also closed all the races in drivers not using tty_port_tty_get
at all yet.
Also we move tty_flip_buffer_push declaration from include/linux/tty.h
to include/linux/tty_flip.h to all others while we are changing it
anyway.

After commit "TTY: move tty buffers to tty_port", the tty buffers are
not freed in some drivers. This is because tty_port_destructor is not
called whenever a tty_port is freed. This was an assumption I counted
with but was unfortunately untrue. So fix the drivers to fulfil this
assumption.
To be sure, the TTY buffers (and later some stuff) are gone along with
the tty_port, we have to call tty_port_destroy at tear-down places.
This is mostly where the structure containing a tty_port is freed.
This patch does exactly that -- put tty_port_destroy at those places.

It doesn't make much sense to enable ISDN services if you don't
intend to connect to a network. Therefore insisting that ISDN
depends on NETDEVICES seems logical. We can then remove any
guards mentioning NETDEVICES inside all subordinate drivers.
This also has the nice side-effect of fixing the warning below
when ISDN_I4L && !CONFIG_NETDEVICES at compile time.

The "tty->port = port" assignment is not needed anymore since it
happens in tty_port_install implicitly.

This looks like it was a mistake not to create device nodes for these
drivers. Let us create them from now on.
It will be necessary to call tty_register_device some way, either by
tty_register_driver implicitly or to call tty_register_device proper.

This will let us sort out a whole pile of tty related races. The
alternative would be to keep points and refcount the termios objects.
However
1. They are tiny anyway
2. Many devices don't use the stored copies
3. We can remove a pty special case

We test both "!skb_out" and "skb_out" here which is duplicative and
causes a static checker warning. I considered that the intent might
have been to test "skb_in" but that's a valid pointer here.

Commit "ISDN: i4l, remove cvs crap" removed definition of
isdn_tty_revision, but there is still a user. So this causes linking
errors. This was hidden from my radar because the variable was not
declared in any header. Instead isdn_common.c declares it locally.
So remove this variable also from isdn_common.c, because there is
really no way to find out the version. Git commit or tag is...
